The Facilities Management User Group (FMUG)

The Facilities Management User Group (Formerly known as The Facilities Management Special Interest Group - FM SIG) was formed in 1993.

The original objectives of the group still stand:-

To bring together like minded people from the FM world.
To give users an opportunity to learn about all aspects of CAFM through presentations and demonstrations.
To provide a forum for users to communicate with and where necessary lobby FM suppliers.

It is recognised that in Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) the choice of third party software is often a key issue and the group offers an opportunity to see demonstrations outside a "selling" environment and also learn from other peoples’ experiences.

The groups users comes from all areas of public and private sector business, and from education, suppliers, developers and FM Specialists everywhere. Individuals include Operators, Managers, Potential Owners and Lecturers.

It is widely believed that CAFM is currently only in the hands of small percentage of the potential market, and with such a fast growing industry, the group aims to help it’s users keep up.
